IATE (InterActive Terminology for Europe). IATE is the EU inter-institutional terminology database. The project was launched in 1999 with the objective of providing a web-based infrastructure for all EU terminology resources, enhancing the availability and standardisation of the information. IATE incorporates all of the existing terminology databases of the EU’s translation services into a single new, highly interactive and accessible interinstitutional database. The following legacy databases have been imported into IATE, which now contains approximately 1.4 million multilingual entries: Eurodicautom (Commission), TIS (Council), Euterpe (EP), Euroterms (Translation Centre), CDCTERM (Court of Auditors).

Hong Kong Translation Society (HKTS) - Incorporated in October 1971, the Hong Kong Translation Society is a non-profit making professional body with the object to enhance the standard and professionalism of translation (both oral and written) in Hong Kong. It became a registered charitable organization with the Hong Kong Government in 1991 on the grounds of education promotion. It has become a member association of the Translators Association of China since 1986 and of the Federation Internationale des Traducteurs since 1988. The Society celebrated its 20th anniversary in 1991, with a spectacular piano recital by Fou Ts'ong, world renowned master pianist of Chinese origin. This gave rise to the institution of a HK$400,000 "Memorial Fund" - in dedication to modern Chinese translation guru Fou Lai - further consolidating its support to translation activities in Hong Kong.
Translators Association of China (TAC) - Founded in 1982, the Translators Association of China (TAC) is the only national association in the field of translation in China, functioning both as an academic society and a trade association. It has now 54 member organizations. The FIT is a strictly non-political organization of professional translators and enjoys Category A status with UNESCO. It now has 115 members and holds its World Congress every three years. The TAC joined the FIT in 1987, becoming its largest member organization.

ATLF - Association des traducteurs littéraires de France. L’ATLF est née en 1973 d’une scission avec la Société française des Traducteurs (SFT), jugée trop tournée vers la traduction technique. Par ce geste, l’ATLF exprime la volonté d’être une association littéraire qui souhaite défendre les intérêts spécifiques des traducteurs littéraires et donc lutter aux côtés des écrivains (auxquels les assimile la loi de 1957 sur la propriété littéraire et artistique).
Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer e.V. (BDÜ) - (The German Translators and Interpreters Association) - Der Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer e.V. (BDÜ) ist mit über 6.000 Mitgliedern der gröβte deutsche Berufsverband der Branche. Er repräsentiert damit 75 Prozent aller organisierten Übersetzer und Dolmetscher in Deutschland und ist Ansprechpartner für Handel, Industrie, Politik und Ausbildungswesen. Erfahrene Mitglieder des Verbandes treten beispielsweise als Gutachter für Übersetzungen oder als Berater bei der Entwicklung neuer Fachausbildungen auf.
VdÜ (BDÜ) - Verband deutschsprachiger Übersetzer literarischer und wissenschaftlicher Werke e.V. Der VdÜ, gegründet 1954, ist der Berufsverband der Literaturübersetzerinnen und Literaturübersetzer und vertritt ihre Interessen in der Öffentlichkeit, gegenüber den Vertragspartnern und deren Verbänden. Wir mischen uns ein. Die Zahl unserer Mitglieder steigt ständig, im Januar 2003 konnten wir das tausendste Mitglied begrüßen.

Colegio de Traductores del Perú (CTP) - El Colegio de Traductores del Perú (CTP) es una institución autónoma que agrupa a los profesionales con Título de Licenciado en Traducción o de Licenciado en Traducción e Interpretación. El colegio nace de la necesidad de lograr el reconocimiento de la profesión y la valoración de la traducción como mediadora entre culturas y posibilitadora de avance tecnológico. El Colegio de Traductores del Perú es la institución representativa por excelencia de los traductores profesionales del Perú. Traductors i Intèrprets Associats pro-Col·legi (TRIAC) - Asociación de profesionales creada en 1995 cuyo objetivo principal reside en la creación del Colegio Oficial de Traductores e Intérpretes de Cataluña. The Chartered Institute of Linguists (IOL) - The Institute serves the interests of professional linguists throughout the world, and acts as a respected language assessment and certificating body. Founded in 1910, the Institute now has around 7,000 Fellows, Members and Associate Members. It aims to promote the learning and use of modern languages, to improve the status of all professional linguists, to establish and maintain high standards of work, to serve the interests of all linguists and to ensure professional standards amongst language practitioners through its Code of Conduct.
